About Stamp Dealers : Page 46
There was nothing to do here but to wait for furtherinstructions from Mrs. Brown — or a letter from her son.
The letter came from the son. The little old lady hadnever gotten to the airfield. A second heart attack hadcome quickly. Thanks to her lifetime habit of puttingthings in order and her kindness in thinking of othersher passing left a sweetness that must be inspiring to herdear ones. I shall always remember Mrs. Brown. Shemust have been a wonderful person.
The incident is completely true excepting only thename of the lady writing the letter. But the feeling ofcomradeship between dealer and collector which it pointsup is far from unusual.
