By turning the transparentpocket, you may study either side of the cover withoutever taking it out of its container. Such albums are some-times merely a series of strong transparent pockets fas-tened in a ring binder. Others have the pockets arrangedso that they slightly overlap each other, revealing partof the cover in each pocket.

Where To Buy An Album

It would not be fair nor in the best interests of thepurpose of this book to recommend a specific place whereyou can purchase a stamp album. Not all stamp dealerscarry albums in stock and not all who do stock albumscarry all that are published. Before purchasing any albumit would be well to consult the advertisements of dealerswho sell them. Such advertisements may be found in thevarious philatelic magazines and in the stamp pages ofnewspapers in the larger cities. Most dealers handlingalbums also provide descriptive price lists of what theyhave available. By reading these, you will be able togather a definite idea of what you wish and you may thenvisit a dealer where you have opportunity to examine thealbums you have read about. If you live in the countryfar away from any stamp store, the price lists we havementioned will be your best bet in making a selection.If you live near a city you can personally examine thealbums. And, of course, your friends who are collectorswill have albums you can examine and they can help
